Searching for dark matter in the Sun using Hyper-Kamiokande

We study the ability of Hyper-Kamiokande (HyperK) experiment, currently under construction, to constrain a neutrino signal produced via annihilation dark matter captured in Sun. simulate upward stopping and through-going muon events at HyperK, using Super-Kamiokande (SuperK) atmospheric results for validation, together with fully partially contained events. Considering various standard model final states, we determined HyperK sensitivity spin-dependent scattering cross-section. find that will improve upon current SuperK limits by factor 2-3, further improvement possible if systematic errors can be decreased relative SuperK.
